Striker Britt Assombalonga is determined to fire Posh to the play-offs.

After scoring two penalties in the 4-1 victory at home on Easter Monday against Carlisle United, it is all to play for in the fixture against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday; a win at New Meadow will seal the final spot in the Play-Offs for Peterborough United.

Striker Britt Assombalonga insists that the biggest game of the season is yet to be played.

‘The Shrewsbury game is a big one for us, we just need one more game obviously to get the play-offs.  Swindon have been doing well, but it is all in our hands, we have got to keep doing it right and look after ourselves.’

All eyes will be on the striker as he is hoping to leap frog Bristol City’s Sam Baldock, after two goals sits between him and the top spot for the League’s leading goal scorer.

‘I’m just focusing on myself and see how many goals I can score from here and to the end of the season and hopefully come out on top. I still have eight or more goals and if we get into the play-offs I can add to that, so anything is possible,’ Assombalonga said.
