The Posh under 18s beat local rivals Northampton Town 5-0 at the Nene Park Academy.
The Peterborough United under 18s defeated local rivals Northampton Town 5-0 at the Nene Park Academy at the weekend with five different scorers on target.
Gavin Strachan's men were always in control against the Cobblers who were reduced to 10-men with the score at 2-0.
Tom Conlon (penalty), Ollie Luto, Joe Burgess, Tye Phillips and Regan Carthey were on target for Posh.
Strachan said: 'I was pleased with the lads. We did the hard work in the early moments and got a real intensity to our play. We got a bit carried away in the second half trying to score more goals, but I can't be critical of the lads display.
'Joe Burgess took his goal very well and the fifth goal was pleasing because it was an overload in play, which is something we have worked hard on,' Strachan.
Posh: Lynch, Burgess, Marshall, Carter, Trialist, Conlon, Anderson, Coulson, Duggan, Phillips, Carthey. Subs used: Edwards, Ward, Luto.
