Paul Taylor has been recalled from Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town have recalled striker Paul Taylor from his one-month loan deal at Peterborough United a week early.

Taylor was eligible to play against league leaders Leyton Orient at London Road on Saturday, but Mick McCarthy has exercised his right to recall the front man in time for the Tractor Boy's Friday night fixture.

Manager Darren Ferguson said: 'Mick came to the Sheffield United game last week and has watched all of the DVDs involving Paul and you can definitely see he is a lot sharper and fitter and that is what Ipswich were looking for when they allowed him to come out on-loan.

'Paul has done well for us, but we knew there was a chance they would recall him earlier that the full month and that is what has happened. I have other options in terms of team selection for the weekend at the club,' Ferguson said.

The Posh boss has also confirmed in an interview with PUTV that Mark Little will be fit for the weekend. 'We feared he may have dislocated his shoulder, but that was not the case and he has responded to treatment well so should be okay for Saturday, which is a boost for us.'
