Posh have completed the signing of trialist Shaun Jeffers until the end of the season.
Peterborough United have completed the signing of young striker Shaun Jeffers on an eight-month contract, keeping him at London Road until May 2014.
Jeffers has spent two weeks on trial at London Road and has impressed boss Darren Ferguson and his management team. The 21-year-old scored in the Development team victory over Stevenage on Tuesday afternoon.
Ferguson said: 'Shaun has come into the building and performed very well. He is a good size and I have made a decision based on his performances in the two games I have watched. It gives us an opportunity to develop the lad.
'We have liked what we have seen, myself and the staff, he has settled in well with the players, which is important and he will get an opportunity to impress us. If he does impress us, we will look to extend his contract, it is as simple as that,' Ferguson said.
Jeffers made six appearances for the Sky Blues during his time with the club.
