Posh head to the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday to face Colchester United in Sky Bet League One action (3pm).
Peterborough United make their second trip of the season to the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Saturday (3pm) with Darren Ferguson's men in Sky Bet League One action against Colchester United.
The two sides met in the first round of the Capital One Cup back in August with Posh running out 5-1 winners after a stunning second half display, inspired by Lee Tomlin who netted twice including a fine curler from the edge of the area.
Tomlin was the main focus of the pre-match press conference at London Road with Ferguson admitting that he has a 'decision to make' on whether he comes straight back into the starting line-up following a five-week lay-off.
'Lee has been training very well and he does give me a decision to make in regards whether he starts or is named just in the squad. I will make that decision and tell the team the line-up on Friday, but we have missed Lee there is no doubt about that, I think most club's would.
'The team played very well in the second half in the cup-tie earlier in the season, but that will have no bearing on this weekend's game. Colchester have one or two injury worries, but whatever side they put out will be difficult to break down,' Ferguson said.
Colchester lost the services of striker Freddie Sears inside the opening half-hour of the draw at Shrewsbury on Tuesday night, while David Wright sustained a hamstring injury, so both are unlikely to feature against the Posh.
Ferguson confirmed that midfielder Daniel Kearns is definitely out of the fixture while defender Mark Little has a 'chance' of being fit. 'Like some of the other players in recent weeks, I don't want to risk people, but it is fair to say that Mark has got a chance. He has improved, as we thought he would, during the week, but I have to say I have been pleased with my defenders,' Ferguson added.
Posh had sold over 758 tickets (at 2.30pm on Thursday) for the game, but fans are able to buy on the day, although there is a slight price increase. Tickets will remain on sale until 3pm on Friday at the Box Office, online at www.theposhtickets.com and via the 24-hour hotline 0844 847 1934.
