Posh have signed Queens Park Rangers midfielder Hogan Ephraim on a one-month loan deal.

Peterborough United have boosted their options ahead of Saturday's FA Cup first round tie with Exeter City with the signing of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Hogan Ephraim on a one-month loan deal.

The 25-year-old goes straight into the squad for the clash with the Grecians at London Road (3pm).

Ephraim, who can play in a number of midfield positions, including behind the strikers, met his new team-mates on Friday morning.

Ephraim told theposh.com: 'It was time for me to get out and play a bit of first team football. I have played at this level with Leeds United and Charlton, so I know what to expect. The team like to play attacking football, so I am looking forward to it.

'I have played at London Road before and was on the losing side and know exactly how loud the home fans can be. I can play in a number of positions in midfield or behind the strikers, but obviously I am just looking to play. It is up to me to impress in training,' the loanee said.

Ephraim has represented England at youth level alongside defender Mark Little. He moved to Queens Park Rangers for an initial fee of £800,000 and played over 30 games in the Sky Bet Championship for the Hoops. Ephraim will wear the number 22 shirt at London Road.

Meanwhile, midfielder Jevani Brown has left the football club by mutual consent.
