Posh fans make saves to boost club coffers.
Peterborough United Football Club has received a boost of more than £50,000, thanks to fans saving with Club partner Norwich & Peterborough Building Society (N&P).
N&P has handed over the donation of £50,428 to the club as the latest annual bonus, generated by Peterborough fans saving in the N&P Posh Account.
This takes to more than £1 million the money donated to the club since the Posh Account was launched in July 1999.
The N&P Posh Account is the only savings account which generates a bonus for Peterborough United Football Club. Every year, N&P pays a bonus to the club of 0.5% of the total amount saved by Posh fans.
'We are proud of our longstanding relationship with Peterborough United and are delighted that Posh supporters have helped us to make this sizeable donation to the club,' said Nigel Smith, N&P’s Branch Network Manager and Posh supporter.
'The success of our partnership with Norwich & Peterborough is a tribute to the loyalty of the building society and our supporters. We cannot thank them enough,' said Bob Symns, Peterborough United chief executive.
