Executive Principal for the Cambridge Meridian Trust, which includes Nene Park Academy, passes away.
It is with great sadness that Peterborough United has been informed of the passing of Martin Bacon. Martin lost his brave battle with cancer yesterday (Monday).
Martin was a season ticket holder and also the Executive Principal for the Cambridge Meridian Trust which includes Nene Park Academy, our partner school. Martin's vision and drive played a huge part in the building of this partnership which has seen the development of our Nene Park Academy training ground and a football based education programme at Nene Park for many of our Academy players.
Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his wife Kathleen, his children Jess and Josh and all his family and friends.
