Posh Foundation coaches deliver fun football sessions at local Pre-School

Last week, Peterborough United Foundation coaches visited St Michael's Pre-School in Stanground. The coaches delivered short fun-based football sessions to the youngsters and handed out programmes and ticket vouchers for the children to visit a game at London Road with a parent.

Community Manager Nick Sheppard said: ‘As technology improves and more and more families have computers at home, children seem to be less active which can have a huge impact on their fundamental movements, agility, balance and co-ordination.

‘It was great to be invited to the pre-school to deliver short sessions to the children which we hope will help with their fundamental skills. We hope the children enjoyed the session and we look forward to seeing them at London Road with their parents soon.’

Lynsey Evans, Vice-Chair of the Pre-School said: ‘We would like to say A huge thanks to Peterborough United and the coaches for the visit last week - the children loved it. We would also like to say thank you for the tickets the children received, we are sure many of them will be attending a home game before the end of the season. We look forward to having the club visit us again in the future.’
