Posh host Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night in the npower Championship (7.45pm).

Peterborough United entertain Charlton Athletic at London Road on Tuesday evening in a vital npower Championship fixture (7.45pm) knowing that a victory could lift Darren Ferguson's men out of the bottom three.

There is a full fixture list in the Championship with Bristol City entertaining Brighton and Hove Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers travelling to Millwall and Barnsley away at Turf Moor against Burnley.

Posh go into the clash with the Addicks on the back of a 3-2 victory at Blackburn Rovers and boss Darren Ferguson insisted afterwards that this is a 'massive week' for the football club.

'There is no doubt that this is a massive week, probably the biggest of the season to date.  We have back to back home games starting with Charlton Athletic and we need to put in a performance and get a positive result. The statistics show that our home form has not been great this season - that needs to change and it needs to change quickly.

'The lads were excellent at Blackburn, we could have won far more comfortably and we have proved that we can beat teams at this level. We are in decent form and I am sure it will be a cracking atmosphere at London Road,' Ferguson said.

On the injury front, Posh are without the services of loanee trio Alex Pritchard, Scott Wootton and Davide Petrucci, but Kgosi Ntlhe and Tyrone Barnett are both fit and included in the squad.

Charlton were beaten 1-0 by Burnley at the weekend and have won just one in the last five npower Championship fixtures.
