Midfielder Jack Payne has completed a permanent move to Peterborough United from Gillingham.
Peterborough United have completed the signing of midfielder Jack Payne for an undisclosed fee from Gillingham.
The formalities have now been completed on the deal with Payne penning a four-year contract at London Road.
Payne finished last season on-loan at London Road and a deal has now been struck between Posh and the Gills.
Manager Darren Ferguson was delighted to have Payne on board: Speaking exclusively to theposh.com, he said: 'I am very pleased to sign Jack. It is an excellent signing. The lad has been very keen to make the move. He enjoyed his time with us last season and he did very well for us.
'He knows how ambitious we are and he knows how keen we are to get back to the Championship at the first time of asking and he wants to be a part of that,' Ferguson said.
Payne will travel to Ireland with the rest of the squad on Monday morning. We will have reaction from Jack shortly.
