Director of Football Barry Fry pleased with home start.
Peterborough United Director of Football Barry Fry was delighted with the release of the 2013-2014 fixture list, which sees Darren Ferguson’s men begin and end the League One campaign at London Road.
Posh host Swindon Town on the opening day with a clash with newly-promoted Port Vale on the final day of the season. Fry, who was at London Road for the electronic arrival of the fixtures, told theposh.com:
‘Everyone at the football club is always very excited when the fixtures are released and we have all been at the stadium awaiting the email. I am delighted with the fixtures.
'They provide a good omen as we are at home on the opening day and the final day and in League One, the last time we were promoted, we also began and ended at home.
‘The fixtures are a bit more spread out this season with very few mid-week games, so that will hopefully help supporters with the expense per week. I am delighted and cannot wait for the season to get underway,’ Fry said.
