Goalkeeper pens three-year contract at London Road.

Peterborough United have completed the signing of 6"4 goalkeeper Charlie Horton with the shot-stopper penning a three year contract at London Road.

The 18-year-old, who has been training with the club in recent weeks, has formally completed the paperwork with the club.

Horton, who was born in the UK but spent the majority of his childhood in America, has impressed during his trial period.

Manager Darren Ferguson said: 'Charlie has got a lot of potential and we look forward to working with him and trying to develop that potential. He is a big lad, at 6"4, and is someone we have been looking at in training.'

Goalkeeping Coach Jimmy Walker added: 'The lad has got enormous potential and we hope he realises it with us. He has never had any full-time coaching, so we feel that working with him on a day to day basis will help him. He is one for the future. We have some excellent goalkeepers at the club.'
