Posh host Hull City in the npower Championship at London Road on Saturday (3pm).
Peterborough United entertain promotion-chasing Hull City at London Road on Saturday afternoon (3pm) in the npower Championship.
The Tigers have had an excellent campaign, but lost in their last fixture with Sheffield Wednesday claiming a 3-1 victory at the KC Stadium.
Ironically, Posh beat Steve Bruce's men by the same score-line earlier in the campaign with Emile Sinclair bagging a hat-trick, the first treble of his professional career.
Posh were defeated 2-1 by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last weekend and slipped into the relegation zone, but boss Darren Ferguson is confident his side can bounce back against Hull.
'Hull have been very consistent this season and that is why they are in the automatic promotion places. They have a strong squad, both in quality and depth and they will be difficult opponents for us, but we are looking forward to the game.
'With next week's game at Bolton off, we desperately want this game on and the lads are very keen to atone for last weekend's loss at Forest. I watched Hull myself on Tuesday night, albeit a much-changed Hull side. They play the same system though and it showed just what depth they have in their squad that they were able to progress in the cup,' Ferguson said.
The Posh boss is without the services of the suspended Lee Tomlin, while defender Gabi Zakuani is away at the African Cup of Nations. Peter Grant and Kgosi Ntlhe are both long-term absentees. Scott Wootton and Davide Petrucci are in line for their home debuts.
