Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored a stunning goal as Posh beat Millwall 5-1 at the New Den.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored a stunning goal in Peterborough United's 5-1 victory at Millwall - the biggest ever away win at Championship level for the football club.
The winger burst into the box and fired an unstoppable left-foot shot into the top corner to make it 4-1 to a rampant Posh side and the former Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster admitted it was a fantastic evening.
'I have been doing a lot shooting practice in training and once I managed to get into the box there was only one thought in my mind and that was to shoot. I was obviously delighted to score and it was a fantastic evening for us.
'I enjoy every game that I play and the last two games have gone well. The manager has one or two formations he can use and the system that we have deployed in the last couple of games has suited me and hopefully it will continue.
'It was a great night for us and fair play to the lads for the performance that they all put in. We now look forward to the game on Saturday against Birmingham, my hometown club. I know a few of the players there including Nathan Redmond and I am looking forward to it.
'It has turned around a bit for me of late and the fans were fantastic. We are on a good run and hopefully that can continue,' Mendez-Laing said.
