Posh will face Arsenal in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup after a stunning 2-1 win at Hull City.

Peterborough United under 18s produced a superb performance in horrendous weather conditions to battle their way to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup after a 2-1 victory against Hull City at the home of North Ferriby FC.

Gavin Strachan's men will now face Premier League giants Arsenal at London Road in the next round as goals from Tom Conlon and Regan Carthey saw the Tigers defeated.

Conlon opened the scoring in spectacular style inside the opening two minutes of the game, volleying home from fully 40-yards with goalkeeper Watson failing to keep the dipping effort out.

Charlie Coulson was a whisker away from a second goal, but his effort flew over the top while Jonathan Edwards also went close.

Posh did find a second goal as Carthey collected a cross on his chest, turned and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Hull reduced the arrears when winger Niall Doran fired home from a tight angle and moments later goalkeeper Luke O'Reilly produced a world class save from point blank range to deny a powerful header from Sam O'Connor.

In the second half, O'Reilly stood up to a barrage of high balls in atrocious windy and wet conditions while the back four were excellent.

Conlon saw a free kick go over the top at the other end while Duggan saw a low shot smothered.
