Posh host Swindon Town at London Road in the Skybet League One on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United begin their 2013/2014 League One campaign on Saturday (3pm) with Swindon Town the visitors to London Road.

Darren Ferguson has a full strength squad for this match after Lee Tomlin shook off an ankle injury, picked up in the mid-week friendly against Hull City.

Posh will be looking to get off to an early winning start this season and Ferguson spoke earlier in the week about how his side were preparing for the fixture.

‘We’re looking strong. We know we have a good squad but we also know this season will be tough so we need to get off to a good start. League One is a difficult League. We’ve got no divine right to do well. We know it’s tough and we won’t underestimate the league.’

Swindon will be no easy opponents, after making the play-offs last campaign. Town have strengthened their squad over the summer by drafting in a host of youngsters from Tottenham, including former Posh player Alex Pritchard.

This match will of course also see the return of former Posh manager Mark Cooper, who is currently caretaker manager of Swindon.

Speaking about the fixture Cooper said: ‘I’m sure they [Peterborough] will be looking forward to me coming back.  But it’s not about me and Peterborough, it’s about the game and two teams playing open and attractive football.’

Please remember that match day prices will rise by £3 so you are advised to buy your ticket in advance. Tickets can be bought online on www.theposhtickets.com, via the 24-hour hotline 0844 847 1934 or at the London Road Box Office.
