Thomas and John set to cycle across America for charity.

Posh fans Thomas Rees and John Webb are about to undertake one of the biggest challenges of their lives as they embark on an epic journey to raise money for charity. On Monday, they will set off for 31 days of cycling across America to raise money for Cancer Research UK, MacMillan Cancer Care and the Stroke Association.

In total the route is approximately 3,150 miles, which will be completed over an estimated 35 days, being 31 days of cycling and four rest days. The route will take us from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco to (within sight of!) the Statue of Liberty in New York.

It passes through the El Dorado National Forest, past Lake Tahoe, the Great Basin National Park, past Utah lake (within touching distance of Salt Lake City), Dinosaur National Monument and the Rocky Mountain National Park (including a high point in excess of 9,500ft) before descending onto the flatlands of Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. The finishing straight sees us pass by Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) before finishing in New York.

More information about the trip and how can you sponsor the pair can be found on their website www.sf2ny.com.
