Posh host Sheffield Wednesday in the final home league game of the campaign.

Peterborough United host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday evening in the final home league game of the campaign at London Road (5.20pm).

The game is close to a sell-out (at 3pm on Thursday) with the game televised live on Sky Sports. Darren Ferguson's men are currently just outside the drop zone on goal difference with two games to play.

The Owls are not mathematically safe of avoiding relegation to League One, but Dave Jones' side are in good form with just one defeat in seven matches.

Posh will leave it as late as possible to name their starting line-up with Michael Bostwick and Mark Little in with a chance of recovering from hamstring injuries.

The pair were put through a tough individual training session on Thursday and are expected to train on Friday. Peter Grant is definitely ruled out while several other players are expected to recover from knocks.

Sheffield Wednesday are expected to be without winger Jermaine Johnson who has a hamstring injury, while Gary Madine remains a doubt.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: 'We know what we have to do. We need to win the remaining two fixtures. We can't rely on anyone else. It is no point watching other results come in on Saturday because it won't affect our need to get the three points.

'Sheffield Wednesday are a good side and are in decent form. Dave Jones is an experienced manager and has done well at Hillsborough. They will bring with them around 5,000 fans and it will make for a cracking atmosphere at London Road,' Ferguson said.

Only a small number of tickets remain for Saturday's game, which can be purchased at www.theposhtickets.com, via the 24-hour hotline 0844 847 1934 and at the London Road Box Office.
