Shaq McDonald scored all four goals as the under 18s beat AFC Wimbledon.
In-form striker Shaquille McDonald took his tally to 11 goals in three matches after scoring all four goals in the under 18s' 4-1 victory at AFC Wimbledon on Wednesday afternoon.
The 17-year-old, who has scored in all but one of the games he has featured in at youth and development squad level since joining from Chasetown at the end of last year, was in fine form in front of goal once again in the nations capital.
After a goal-less opening on a difficult surface, McDonald opened the scoring with a stunning finish after a slick one two on the edge of the box and Posh never looked back.
The home side did briefly level with a clever lob from 25-yards, but McDonald then took centre stage. He flicked home from close-range after a well-worked corner routine involving centre back James Sage.
McDonald then bagged two in as many minutes, firing low past the goalkeeper from a tight angle and then repeating the feat after linking with substitute Jaanai Gordon, who made a 25-minute substitute appearance after a recent operation. McDonald celebrated his fourth goal with a somersault.
Gordon was denied by the goalkeeper and fired over while Tom Conlon curled a free-kick inches past the post.
Midfielder Jermaine Anderson was in excellent form and the 16-year-old linked well with Jevani Brown and Regan Carthey.
Posh: Lynch, Carter, Sage, Burgess, Lawlor, Anderson, Brown, Trialist (sub Gordon 65min), Carthey, Conlon, McDonald. Subs unused: Wright, Coulson.
