Posh youngster Dovydas Kairys has been invited into the Lithuania under 17s training camp.

Peterborough United youngster Dovydas Kairys has been invited into the Lithuania under 17s training camp for a forthcoming international friendly fixture with Poland later this month.

The midfielder, who joined the club's youth programme in April of this year, is 15-years-old and is part of David Farrell's under 16 squad who will entertain Milton Keynes Dons at the Nene Park Academy on Saturday morning (11am).

Head of Youth Dave Robertson said: 'It is our fourth international call-up of the month, which bodes well for the future of our youngsters. We have had one full international call-up (Kgosi Ntlhe), two under 19 call-ups (Peter Grant, Alex Lynch) and now Dovydas in the under 17s.

'Dovydas is part of our under 16 squad and attends the Nene Park Academy full-time training programme. He is a talented midfielder and we wish him the best of luck in his first experience of international football.'
