Darren Ferguson was presented with the Performance of the Week award following the win at Hull.

The League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that this week, the F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award should go to Peterborough United following their excellent 3-1 away win against Hull City in the npower Championship on Saturday 29th September 2012.

Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson received a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to commemorate the award.

Peterborough won the sixth F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award of the season, with an impressive display at the KC Stadium. In the same week, Peterborough also saw off Barnsley to pick up their second Championship win in four days.

Emile Sinclair scored a hat-trick for Peterborough against a Hull City side that was chasing a seventh straight home win.

The Posh were two goals up at the interval courtesy of a Sinclair double, before Jay Simpson netted for Hull early in the second half. However, Sinclair was to secure the points after completing his hat-trick with another individual effort.

After the match, Ferguson was delighted with the performance and result; 'This gives us a platform. It was always going to be a big week for us.

'We knew it would be tough. They had won every game at home, but we know how to win a game. Hard work and team spirit. We showed that, but it’s one win.'
