Posh host Nottingham Forest at London Road on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

Peterborough United host Nottingham Forest in the npower Championship on Saturday afternoon (3pm) looking to make it three wins out of three.

After back to back away victories at Hull City and Barnsley, Darren Ferguson's men will look to open their home league account against the Reds, who were held to a mid-week goal-less draw by Blackburn Rovers at the City Ground.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson spoke to the press ahead of the fixture and said: 'Forest is a very important game for us. At the start of the week, we might have settled for six points from the three games but having won two games away from home, a third victory in front of our own fans would cap a perfect week.

'We now have the confidence and self-belief to go and give Forest a hard time. We want to perform in front of our own fans now, although they might have to be patient. The formation we have used in the last two games worked perfectly, but it’s a different challenge at home.

'I have a fully fit squad to choose from and I will assess the fitness levels of the squad in the next 24 hours. The players that performed in the reserve team game did very well so they also come into my thinking for the Forest game,' Ferguson said.

Striker David Hibbert, who played 45 minutes on Wednesday in his comeback from injury, will continue his road back to full fitness by featuring in a friendly on Tuesday against Rotherham United in a behind closed doors fixture.

Forest will welcome back Simon Cox from suspension, but fellow striker Dextor Blackstock will be missing after he was dismissed in the 1-0 home defeat to Derby County last weekend.

Forest have sold over 2,700 tickets in advance for the game, although it is not all-ticket for Posh or Forest fans.
