Posh host Derby County at London Road on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United host Derby County at London Road on Saturday afternoon (3pm) with Darren Ferguson's men knowing that a victory could lift them out of the npower Championship relegation zone.

Tuesday night's 3-1 home win over Huddersfield Town, coupled with Blackburn Rovers' 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday, moved Posh into 22nd place and Ferguson is hoping for another good home display against the Rams.

'It has been a good few days with the win over an excellent Huddersfield side and moving up a place without playing, but we have to back it up on Saturday when we play Derby County. Nigel Clough has assembled a talented squad at Pride Park, in Conor Sammon they have a striker who works tremendously hard and he won't give our back line a minute's peace.

'Theo Robinson has a lot of pace as does Nathan Tyson, but we will go through the video work on Friday with the players and they will be made aware of their strengths. Obviously I was very pleased with the win on Tuesday and we are looking forward to the game with Derby now.

'The fans played a massive part on Tuesday and they can do so again on Saturday. I am sure it will be a good atmosphere inside the stadium and it would be great to get out of the drop zone. We have had three wins in five games and I believe we should really be unbeaten in five because the games we lost we were unfortunate to lose,' Ferguson said.

Tommy Rowe is rated as 'doubtful' for the game so Kgosi Nthle, who scored his first goal for the club against Huddersfield, is expected to continue at left wing-back. Peter Grant (knee) and David Hibbert will not be involved.

Derby are set to include Paul Coutts in their starting line-up with the Scotsman making his first visit back to London Road since his departure to Preston North End.
