Chief Executive Bob Symns has released the following statement on behalf of the football club.
'Following recent interviews given by the Director of Football and the Football Manager, personal opinions were given that were not sanctioned by Peterborough United Football Club Limited.
'It is always the intention of the Board to conduct all football business in a professional and considered manner whereby content is deemed to be beneficial, factual and necessary.
'In light of the public exchanges, the club wishes it to be known that at a formal meeting, the situation was discussed with appropriate measures bringing closure to the matter.'
The club will be making no further comment.
