Peter Grant will undergo a knee operation after scans confirmed damage.

Peterborough United defender Peter Grant is set for a spell on the sidelines after scans revealed he had ruptured his cruciate knee ligament in last week's reserve team defeat to Rotherham United at London Road.

The Scot will undergo a knee operation shortly. Grant sustained the injury in the second half of the fixture with the Millers.

Meanwhile, midfielder Grant McCann has reported back to London Road after withdrawing from the Northern Ireland squad with a knee injury.

He is undergoing treatment by physiotherapist Chris Burton.
