Club Invest In New Technology

29 October 2012

Barcode entry access system and electronic point of sale to be introduced.

The football club have signed a new deal with current ticket provider Ticketmaster, in conjunction with Retail & Sports Systems, which will see a wide range of new, cutting-edge technology implemented at London Road.

This will include a barcode entry access system, a new electronic point of sale and a new integrated online club shop.

The barcode entry access system will allow season and match tickets to be scanned in at the turnstiles, which should enable fans to gain admittance into the stadium faster. The club have already made preparations for the launch later this season and some supporters may have already noticed a barcode on their match tickets (these will not come into operation until the launch). The new system will also allow fans to buy and print tickets at home.

The new technologies will allow many improvements to the customer service level that fans receive and we will keep you updated with developments over the coming weeks and months.
