Posh travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Boxing Day looking to make it three wins out of three (3pm).
Peterborough United go in search of their third npower Championship victory in a row when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Boxing Day (3pm).
It is the first time the two sides have met at Molineux since April 1994 when Posh earned a 1-1 draw. Posh go into the Boxing Day meeting on the back of a 5-4 victory over Bolton Wanderers, a result that brought Darren Ferguson's men two points from safety at the foot of the Championship table.
Wolves go into the fixture on the back of an impressive 2-0 victory at Blackpool with striker Sylvain Ebanks-Blake bagging a brace at Bloomfield Road.
Darren Ferguson, who played for Wolves, is expecting a tough test for his young side, whose average age against Bolton was just 23.
'Wolves are a massive club and when I played there the fans were fantastic, but I also know from my own experiences that if things aren’t going well those same fans can turn on the team.
'If we can start well and frustrate their players and their fans, that will give us a better chance to win the game.I’m anticipating a very good turn out from our own fans as well. We took a huge number to Nottingham Forest on Boxing Day last season and Wolves isn’t that much further.
'We are going there in good form as well. We were excellent at Cardiff (December 15) and we were even better in the first half against Bolton (December 22) and if we reach those standards at Molineux we have a chance of winning three in a row.'
Posh have no fresh injury worries to contend with for the game with only long-term absentees Kgosi Ntlhe and Peter Grant sidelined. The game is not all-ticket for Posh fans with over 500 sold in advance. There is no price rise on the day either.
