Posh host Middlesbrough at London Road on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

Peterborough United will be looking to bounce back from two disappointing home defeats to Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool when they entertain Middlesbrough at London Road on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

Tony Mowbray's men have lost three out of the last four fixtures including last Friday night's 3-2 defeat at St. Andrews against Birmingham City, but Posh boss Darren Ferguson knows the quality that Teesiders have at their disposal.

'I was surprised to see they had lost three out of their last four because you think they are having a good campaign, but that shows the unpredictable nature of this league because Middlesbrough are a very good side.

'Tony Mowbray plays football the right way and I know Mark Venus from my time at Wolverhampton Wanderers. They will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, I have no doubt about that.

'For us, it is about putting in a performance. The lads watched the defeat to Blackpool on Sunday and I have had individual meetings with the players this week. I am confident I have the character in the dressing room for the fight,' Ferguson said.

Striker Saido Berahino has returned to West Bromwich Albion after scans revealed he had chipped a bone in his knee. He will be out for eight weeks. Michael Bostwick is available after suspension while Tommy Rowe has trained 'superbly' and will be in contention for a starting berth after making his comeback from an ankle injury in the defeat to Blackpool. Kgosi Ntlhe and Peter Grant are long-term absentees.

Tickets for the game are available at www.theposhtickets.com, via the 24-hour hotline 0844 847 1934 or at the London Road Box Office. Remember that under 16s can watch the action for just £5 in the South Stand while under 10s accompanied by an adult can watch for FREE.
