Saido Berahino has returned to West Brom after he was ruled out for eight weeks.

Striker Saido Berahino has returned to parent club West Bromwich Albion after scans revealed he had chipped a bone in his knee.

The front man, who scored twice in his loan stint from the Hawthorns, is expected to be out for at least eight weeks.

Manager Darren Ferguson said: 'It is a massive blow because Saido has made a real impact at the club, but he is going to be out for at least eight weeks so has returned to West Browmich Albion.

'We will look at what maybe bringing him back again when he is fit, but will have to remain patient on that one. We will be looking to strengthen in that particular area of the field in the New Year,' Ferguson said.
