The Posh under 18s are still unbeaten after 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient.

The Peterborough United under 18s remain unbeaten this season after a 2-2 draw at Leyton Orient at the weekend.

However, Gavin Strachan's men will be disappointed not to come away with all three points after leading 2-0 going into the final few minutes.

It looked like an impressive away win was to be chalked up as Posh got themselves 2-0 up, but a late penalty kick earned the home side a point.

It was left-back James Sage who opened the scoring for Posh, beating two opponents before slotting the ball calmly past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.

The second goal was a stunning strike from Tom Wood, who controlled a neat lay-off by Levi Wright and curled a shot into the top corner via the inside of the post.

However, Orient reduced the arrears and with almost the last kick of the game won a penalty kick which was converted.

Academy Manager Dave Robertson said: 'We said to the boys beforehand that it was going to be a really tough test and so it proved. We played some good football and scored two excellent goals, but it is disappointing to concede two late goals.

'However, we remain unbeaten after three games and the goals we conceded were uncharacteristic for us. We now face Luton Town on Saturday as we look to build on a solid start.'
