The Posh Women welcome Liverpool Feds to PIMS Park on Sunday for their first ever home league game in the Northern Premier League (2pm).

The Peterborough United Women made their debut in Tier 3 at promotion favourites Rugby Borough on the opening day of the campaign and will be looking to continue their excellent run of form in front of their own supporters when they welcome Liverpool Feds to the city.

Liverpool Feds enjoyed a superb opening day result, overcoming Derby County 5-1 and will provide another tough test for Jake Poole's side as they get acclimatised to their new level.

TEAM NEWS

Posh were without the services of defender Hayley James and midfielders Poppie Brown and Courtney Clarke at Rugby Borough and the trio could miss the game due to injury.

Tickets are cheaper if purchased in advance at www.theposhtickets.com or at the Weston Homes Stadium Box Office with the price increasing by £1 on the day.

PARKING

There is limited parking at PIMS Park, however there is street parking in and around the stadium. Supporters are advised to arrive early with the turnstiles open from 12.30pm.

RAFFLE

There will be a raffle to win a season ticket for the 2026/27 campaign that will take place on the day. It will cost £5 a strip.

MERCHANDISE

Supporters will be able to purchase merchandise on the day including the women's home shirt produced by PUMA.

May At The Double In Landmark Women Win

Summer signing Ellie May scored her first competitive goals for the club as the Posh Women held off a spirited response to earn a 3-2 victory over Liverpool Feds.

It wasn't easy, but football never is. For long periods, the Peterborough United Women were in firm control of this Northern Premier Division clash with Liverpool Feds, but the visitors to PIMS Park kept going till the end and it was a mixture of relief and joy when the final whistle was blown.

It proved to be the first win in the club/s history at Tier 3 level and there is no doubt that Jake Poole's side deserved it. They flew out of the traps and were 2-0 up inside the opening quarter, but despite losing a player to a deserved red card, Liverpool Feds were never going to just give up without a fight.

An established side at this level, they were brave in the second half and got their rewards with two goals, the first of which was a superb strike.

It was MAY who opened the scoring, the former West Bromwich Albion striker, deployed on the left for this contest, rising highest at the far post to nod a header past the goalkeeper.

Posh carved out a host of chances in that first 15 minutes with Rebecca Mears twice denied by the goalkeeper and May just struggling to sort her feet out when Keir Perkins shot was spilled.

Crista Ganado fired over after bursting into the box, before Posh did double their lead as Evie DRISCOLL-KING headed home from an excellent corner kick from Niamh Reynolds.

Reynolds was then involved in a big moment in the game as she tussled with McEvoy in the centre circle. Reynolds was cautioned, but McEvoy was shown a straight red for her retaliation.

Fryer fired wide for the visitors in a rare foray forward on the half hour mark with Driscoll-King firing wide with her left-foot from a similar distance at the other end.

On 34 minutes, May had a good chance to extend the lead, but she poked her effort with the inside of her right-foot wide of the far post. The visitors started the second half brightly and bravely, leaving players high in an attempt to cause problems on the counter attack and three minutes into the second period they were awarded a penalty after a foul by Jenkins, however Walters struck the bar from 12-yards.

Skipper Thompson hit the bar with a header from a corner on 54 minutes before Posh provided themselves with a three-goal cushion as MAY produced an excellent finish from just inside the box.

Jessica Driscoll saw a shot tipped onto the bar with Anna Pitt's follow-up disallowed for offside on 72 minutes before the substitute BOUGGESS produced a superb effort to narrow the score-line.

May saw a shot saved before Corry did well to smother a close-range effort as the game became a little stretched. On 84 minutes, BRADY pulled another goal back for the visitors before Posh saw out the contest for their first three points at the level.
