Posh conceded twice in the opening 45 minutes as Wigan Athletic ran out 2-0 winners at the Brick Community Stadium.
Peterborough United remain in search of their first point of the new campaign after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Ryan Lowe's Wigan Athletic at the Brick Community Stadium.
The home side opened the scoring from a powerful Christian Saydee header and doubled their advantage when Jason Kerr took advantage of a loose ball in the penalty area.
Posh fell behind inside the opening five minutes as SAYDEE rose unchallenged to power home a header past Reyes from six yards.
Darren Ferguson's men should have levelled on 14 minutes as a well-worked corner routine fell at the feet of Brandon Khela but he couldn't keep his close-range effort down.
Trevitt fired over for the Latics before they doubled their advantage, Reyes initially did well to stop the first effort but KERR was on hand to turn home the rebound.
Harley Mills fired over three minutes before the break as Posh ended the first half strongly. Wigan could and perhaps should have added to their lead inside the opening few moments of the second half but Reyes did well to save and then Saydee rolled an effort wide.
Wright then fired over from 10-yards after Saydee had outmuscled Oscar Wallin by the by-line.
Substitute Lolos fired wide with his left-foot after good footwork in a tight area while Tickle produced a fine stop to keep out a low drive from Cian Hayes.
Archie Collins saw a shot cleared off the line three minutes from time, but despite late pressure, Posh couldn't find a consolation goal.
