Tom Nichols joined Peterborough United from Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City at the conclusion of the January 2016 transfer window.

The 23-year-old striker made the move to the ABAX Stadium for an undisclosed fee after turning down a number of other clubs to further his footballing education with the Posh. He has an excellent goalscoring record thanks to his movement and ability to carve out a chance and is closing in on 50 career goals.

His highlight for his former side Exeter came when he found the back of the net against Liverpool in a televised cup clash but he also celebrated scoring against a Premier League club when he netted in the 4-1 defeat to Premier League leaders Chelsea in 2017. Came through the youth ranks at Exeter, making his debut for the Grecians at the age of 17.
