Pay - £25k-£28k pro rata

We are currently seeking a new Club Safeguarding Officer. This important and pivotal role safeguards and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk and ensures all staff and volunteers, parents and parents/children understand their role in the safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk.
Supported by the Senior Safeguarding Manager (SSM) the Club Safeguarding Officer will have the primary responsibility for managing and reporting safeguarding concerns and for putting into place policies and procedures and continually monitoring these to safeguard young people and adults at risk across the entire organisation.
This role will ensure the effective day to day management, supporting and coaching staff within the Academy. This role will also play a significant role in the safeguarding and development of all the children who join our academy.
The successful person will have a relevant professional qualification in safeguarding/welfare/ education, previous experience of safeguarding case management, a valid driving licence and ability to travel independently in the wider Peterborough area. The ability to work some evenings and weekends including first team match days to meet the needs of the business will be required.
If you have experience of working within a football club that’s great but it’s not essential. Naturally positive and enthusiastic you will have a passion for ensuring compliance and the implementation safeguarding procedures. Highly organised with impeccable planning and administration skills the successful person will have the professional ability to communicate to, build relationships with and provide feedback to adults and young players effectively. The successful person must be flexible in working hours to meet business needs of the business.
