Posh host Shrewsbury Town at the ABAX Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Peterborough United entertain Shrewsbury Town at the ABAX Stadium on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) and manager Grant McCann knows that a victory against Paul Hurst's men will equate to a decent start to February following last weekend's win at Port Vale.

Defeat to league leaders Sheffield United at the weekend leaves Posh three points from the play-off positions, while the Shrews chalked up a hugely impressive 1-0 victory at Scunthorpe United - the first team to win at Glanford Park in the league for over a year.

"We know that a win on Tuesday night will mean it is six points from nine available in the first 10 days or so in February and that for me would be a decent start to the month, but we know that it will be difficult because they will arrive full of confidence.

"There wasn't a lot in the game against Sheffield United and it was disappointing to concede so late, but I couldn't ask for any more in terms of effort and commitment and that needs to be on show on Tuesday evening.

"The fans really got behind us on Saturday and it was a good atmosphere and we need them from now until the end of the campaign, starting on Tuesday evening against Shrewsbury at the ABAX Stadium," McCann said.

A special offer has been launched for Tuesday night, which will allow supporters to buy two adult tickets for just £20 in all areas of the stadium (excluding hospitality areas).

Season ticket holders will be able to bring a friend for just £5 with that offer also available for all areas of the ABAX Stadium (excluding hospitality areas).

Tickets for this fixture can now be purchased online at www.theposhtickets.com, via the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934* and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
