Coach Michael Johnson reviews the Posh B team's defeat against Norwich City.

Posh B kicked off the season against a very strong Norwich side who certainly will be competing for the top of league come close of play in the season. Throughout all the squads, Posh are a young team with many 1st year's compared to 2nd.

Posh started the ball rolling with a spell of possession early on, they started on the front foot putting Norwich under stages of pressure. Posh failed to test the Norwich GK although had put the team under sustained pressure. As Posh kept the ball well, the young players started to settle into the fixture and understand the game.

As Posh started to create a few chances, Norwich stepped up the tempo and with that their quality levels and game was raised. Posh started to wobble and it looked like there could be an opening for the Yellows.

As time went on, Norwich were dominating play and limiting Posh to a small amount of possession and opportunities. Norwich scored to put themselves 1-0 up with just a few minutes remaining of the 1st half. Although Norwich were leading Posh had still looked promising in the opening half with T.Mucklin looking very dangerous with E.Stokes holding the back line well for the Blues.

As the match re-started play Norwich were very attacking and hit Posh with an early goal into the 2nd half, from this goal you could see the young head's from Posh drop. This led to flurry of quick easy goals for the Canaries conceded by the Posh from simple mistakes. The final score ended 6-0 which was very disappointing following such a bright first half.
