Posh have signed Bishop Stortford striker Kyle Vassell from Bishop Stortford.

Peterborough United have completed the signing of Bishop Stortford striker Kyle Vassell for an undisclosed fee with the 20-year-old penning a two and a half-year contract at London Road.

Vassell, who has netted 16 goals for Stortford already this season, linked up with his new team-mates on Monday morning after playing an hour against Northampton Town in the first round of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon for the non-league side.

The front man has an excellent goal-scoring record and scored a remarkable four in the space of 17 minutes against Hendon in the FA Cup second preliminary round for Stortford.

Posh are able to secure the permanent transfer of Vassell because of the level in the football pyramid that Stortford currently operate.

Reaction from Darren Ferguson to follow.
