Posh head to Sixfields to face local rivals Northampton Town in a pre-season friendly on Saturday (3pm).

Peterborough United travel to local rivals Northampton Town in a pre-season friendly on Saturday (3pm) with Darren Ferguson set to include trialist Paddy McCourt, who has been training at London Road for the last few days.

The former Celtic wide-man, who is a Northern Ireland international, will play some part against the Cobblers.

Grant McCann, Tommy Rowe, Kgosi Ntlhe, Michael Bostwick and Tyrone Barnett will all feature after being rested for the 4-2 defeat at Mansfield Town on Wednesday evening.

Joe Newell, who suffered a dead leg at the One Call Stadium, is unlikely to be involved. Manager Darren Ferguson said: 'It will be a good test for us, just as Mansfield was on Wednesday. I am sure there will be a competitive edge as it is a local derby and it is a good game for us.'

Posh have sold close to 200 tickets in advance for the friendly fixture and fans are able to pay on the turnstile.

Admission prices are as follows;
