Sports Scholarship

The Peterborough United Sports Scholarship is run by the Peterborough United Foundation, with the programme overseen by Michael Johnson.  Posh offer both a boys and girls only education programme which runs alongside the Football League and the Football League trust.

The Sports Scholarship is not only a chance to play Football and Futsal every day, but gain valuable education qualifications delivered by Nene Park Academy. Players will be working towards a BTEC in sport, with personal training courses and NCS programmes also offered. You could come out of the programme with the equivalent of four A-levels, therefore if you wanted to progress onto University this would give you a high level of UCAS points to stand you in good stead. The programme is for those who are in the under 16’s/Under 17’s age bracket. Training every day and the competitive nature of your fixtures will help develop your performance with your grass roots team.

By signing up with the programme, we also offer the opportunity to play in the best facilities. Home football fixtures are played at the first team’s training ground, whilst St George’s Park and the Birmingham International Futsal Arena are the boys and girls regular futsal match day venues.

Added to this, the Sports Scholarship plays a number of high-quality Premier League and Football League opponents, such as teams from Chelsea FC, Southampton FC, Crystal Palace, Norwich and many more. While being a part of the club, players will also be able to gain access to certain Posh fixtures, attend the stadium ground tour and meet some of the first team players!

So, if you are interested in playing Football and Futsal every day, gain a valuable education and represent Peterborough United, then the Sports Scholarship programme is for you! If you are interested in our Sports Scholarship please contact the below for more information:
