About The Programme

We at Peterborough United Football Club are excited to introduce the Premier League Primary Stars Programme.

An exciting new project delivered in co-operation with Peterborough United F.C. and the Premier League supporting primary schools with a vision to ‘use the inspiration of the Premier League and professional football clubs to create healthier and more positive futures for all children in England & Wales’.

By signing up to the programme schools get access to high quality PE provision and an excellent array of teaching resources.

Developed with the values of the Premier League and Peterborough United at its core, this education programme is designed to:
• Inspire pupils aged 5-11 in the classroom
• Use sport to Connect childrens’ learning to the world around them
• Teach the importance of Fair play
• Motivate children to be Ambitious and reach their goals

Mission
To offer a world-class primary schools programme that uses the appeal of the Premier League, football and Peterborough United Football Club to improve and enhance PE and other curriculum areas, and develops the skills and values that are crucial to success in later life.

Objectives
• Enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence of teachers to improve the provision of PE and School Sport;
• Increase children’s enjoyment, participation and skills in competitive and non-competitive sports and other physical activities;
• Increase children’s understanding of the personal skills and values they need to achieve their goals;
• Enhance children’s understanding of, and interest and confidence in, English and Maths;
• Support young people to follow further participation pathways in sport
