Posted on: Wed 05 Nov 2008

The Peterborough United youth team travel to Field Mill on Wednesday evening (7pm) to face Mansfield Town in the first round of the FA Youth Cup and manager David Oldfield has a full strength squad to choose from.

The Stags progressed into the first round after qualifying wins over Bourne Town, Shepshed, Loughborough Dynamo and Mickleover Sports, the latter swept aside comfortably at Field Mill.

Head of Youth Dave Robertson told theposh.com: 'The lads are very excited at the prospect of playing in this prestigious competition. They have a positive approach to the game and have been working very hard in training in preparation for the cup-tie.

'We are in good form going into the match and have no injuries to report and everyone is looking forward to what I am sure will be an entertaining game. The first team manager Darren Ferguson and Director of Football Barry Fry will be there watching and it would be great to see plenty of Posh fans there too.'

Admission prices have been set at £3 for adults, £2 for OAP's and £1 for under 16s.
