Oldfield Appointed As Youth Team Manager
Peterborough United Football Club have appointed David Oldfield as the youth team manager with the former midfielder already putting the under 18s through their paces ahead of the new PUMA Youth Alliance campaign.
Oldfield is also set to take charge of the reserve team for the 2008-2009 season and Posh Head of Youth Dave Robertson believes the former Leicester City man is an ideal appointment for the football club.
'Dave Oldfield will be the youth team manager for the upcoming season. We believe with Dave's experience both as a player and with his qualifications as a coach that he will be a great addition to the team. He will continue to bring through and develop the young players we have at Peterborough United,' Robertson told theposh.com.
We will be speaking to Oldfield in the next few days.
