The Peterborough United Youth Team are looking to take the positives from the game against Queens Park Rangers which saw the Posh youngsters lose 1-0 at Huntingdon Town FC's ground at the weekend.

Manager Dave Robertson was impressed with how his team played especially under the appalling conditions which didn't help the team's fluency.

'The conditions were not great for us, but we did well under the circumstances. We were disappointed to concede the way we did, but there were definitely some good individual performances and we can build on this for the next game against Northampton Town,' Robertson said.

QPR's youth team were crowned champions of last year's Youth Alliance League and Robertson always knew that this game would be very tough. Despite this, the Posh youngsters had numerous chances but failed to capitalise on what was a good overall performance.

Team: Courtney Howard, Danny Andrew, Callum Reed, Darren Gourlay, Tom Pennals, Scott Ginty, Billy Crook, Lewis Webb, Evans Kouassi, Hakeem Araba, Jack Lyons. Sub used: Nathan Twum-Koranteng.
