Darren Ferguson's Peterborough United side entertain a Liverpool XI on Saturday (3pm) in the first home pre-season friendly and supporters are advised they are able to pay on the turnstiles for The South Family Stand and Terraces. Supporters wishing to sit in the Main Stand need to purchase a ticket from the box office.

It will be the first chance for the majority of supporters to see summer signing Russell Martin in action, but fellow new arrival Sergio Torres is still working his way back to full fitness after an operation at the back end of last season.

Manager Darren Ferguson is looking forward to the test that the Liverpool XI side will provide: 'I am sure whoever pulls on a Liverpool shirt will be looking to impress and that will make the friendly game competitive I am sure. It will be a really tough test for us but one we are looking forward to.

'Liverpool were kind enough to send a team down for Mark Tyler's testimonial last season and it is great they are able to send a side down to face us. I hope the supporters come out and see what should be an entertaining game and from the players point of view, they will all get a chance to show what they can do,' Ferguson told theposh.com.

Admission prices are £20 for adults, £12 for senior citizens, students and disabled and £5 for juniors under 16 (seating) and £15 for adults, £12 for senior citizens, students and disabled and £5 for juniors under 16 (standing).

Tickets can still be bought online for collection at the stadium via www.theposhtickets.com
