Adjei Earns Posh Point

Posted on: Thu 08 Oct 2009

A late goal from youngster Edward Adjei earned the Peterborough United second string a 2-2 draw at Wycombe Wanderers in the Totesport Football Combination League on Tuesday evening. Adjei's second goal of the game earned David Oldfield's men a share of the spoils six minutes from time to deny the hosts their first home win of the campaign.

The striker had scored to give Posh the lead, but the Chairboys responded well and managed to turn the game on it's head by leading going into the final stages of the encounter.

Dominic Green had the first opportunity of the game but saw his effort saved, while Dean Keates and Shaun Batt both went close, the latter was a thorn in the Wycombe side throughout the 90 minutes.

Posh fielded trialist Elliot Omozusi in the game. The 21-year-old is a right-back, but can operate in other positions at the back. He has recently been on trial at Sheffield United.
