Billy Crook was awarded a professional contract in the summer of 2009 after a string of excellent performances for the reserves and during a loan stint at Kettering Town. An energetic midfielder, Crook could find himself competing for a place on the right hand side of midfield this season with Sergio Torres on the transfer list and Chris Whelpdale set to miss the start of the campaign following a hernia operation.
