Former Arsenal and England legend Ian Wright is backing Peterborough's very own Joe Lewis to shine in 2009. The ex-Gunners striker writes a column for national newspaper The Sun and in his latest article he included Lewis in his top nine English players to shine in 2009.

Wright commented that he was surprised to see Lewis called into the England squad yet the young goalkeeper has won many admirers for his performances at Peterborough United.

Lewis was singled out as a one to watch along with Danny Welbeck of Manchester United as well as West Ham youngster Freddie Sears, Southampton's Adam Lallana and Adam Johnson from Middlesbrough.
