The Chairman said 'In these difficult times negotiations have been long drawn-out affairs with much tighter parameters being applied. I can understand the business caution behind all this but my main concern was to protect the brand and allow us the benefit of being able to secure preferential opportunities for the future. We have had two firm offers on the table and a number of other high-level interest quotes but felt they did not match our own valuation.'
