Posted on: Wed 18 Oct 2006

Dean Holden and Lloyd Opara were both involved as Peterborough United's second string overcame Coventry City in a friendly at the training ground on Wednesday afternoon.

Holden came through 90 minutes while striker Opara (pictured) played 45 minutes as both received much needed match fitness. It was Opara's first outing since suffering a hamstring strain at Walsall in September.

The game featured several trialists, and one of them, Danny Morgan scored the only goal of the game. He netted in the second period to give Posh a deserved 1-0 victory in wet conditions.

Defender Ben Futcher was another to come through the game unscathed while Jimmy Ghaichem, Adam Fry and Shane Huke were also involved.
